Last weekend there were ass kicking thermals in Tapalpa, more than 8m/s and cloud base around 4500m. When you core one of those bullets, it’s hard not to let out a “yihaaa!” sound. It only takes a few minutes to reach cloud base where to cool air and high altitude makes you feel very exposed.
A great thing about this season is that it’s both flyable and kitable in the same time. Next year we want to organize fly & kite trips that combines the two activities in one trip at the peak of the season for both. One of the best take-offs in the World is Tapalpa. With easy access, ameneties, restaurant/bar and grassy launch it’s actually enjoyable to bring your family there!
